is this? There are so many! The home office did say the big address list s/b NOT posted on our URLs because some camps want to remain private (what is THAT about?). In any case, our neighbors & neighborhood look grand.
Also note that early arrival passes may be forthcoming & good for you, Josh & Dove, as well as we & Glenn & his son, 7 in in all. Heard from HepKitten, our placer!
Love the dust more & more-

That's great news! Do we need to have physical passes in our hands upon arrival? If so, you could send Josh, Dove and mine to me and I'll rendezvous with them in Reno as they are leaving for their road trip on Aug 16th... I assume passes wouldn't reach here by time they leave. Or can they be left for us at will call?
re: the theme camp list... yeah, it's strange - a lot of camps wanted to remain 'under the radar'. I think it has more to do not alerting the authorities than a desire for non-participation. |

We also should be able to get the bar codes for weekend arrivals out to all camps within a week (knock wood) barring any other further computer malfunctions.
The bar codes are usable just once but no ID required @ the gate. I will send you whatever comes in as soon as it comes in. Looking forward to the best year yet!

OK, so I see that you said in previous posting that it was the 16th & then I asked again. Well, HepKitten our placer called here well into my dreamtime about 10:45 p.m. & she will send the passes via email hopefully before the end of this weekend. Evidently her email shut down because she was communicating w/ so many theme camps the server thought she was spamming. The passes are 800k ea. so will take time downloading. If all goes well I can send you yours, Josh & Doves before they leave. The passes are for 1 use only so if someone tries to copy them only one user will get in. What route will they be taking? Passing this way first?

Fred... that's great. They are coming thru Reno (at least that's the plan). I think they'll hit Cali after the burn. If for some reason the passes get to me after they depart, I can meet up with them in Reno. But it'd be great if they had them in advance as they can probably make it to the playa before me. Probably best if HepKitten sends them all to me, just in case they are on the road before the email arrives. Either way, I can print them out and get them into Dove and Josh's hands.
What time is early arrival permitted? I assume Saturday at noon? Stoked if it's earlier. |

Midnight Friday night, I am pretty certain. It is not specified. I will want the passes to be sent here to hopefully prevent the feared glitches. Since HepKitten said she would try to get them to us as early as Friday this week, hopefully there will be no problems. Whoever is first AOXOMOXOAns to arrive must check in @ Greeter Station & wait for HepKitten before proceeding to our real estate. The greeters delineate the boundaries, & our experience is that a lot can be different from what we might expect. Also, if Josh & Dove do get there first, please request they not put any deep stakes in the playa until we figure out collectively how we want the camp to be set up. As usual, we want it to be better than the previous years & have nice inviting shade structures adhjacent to but not directly in line w/ the sound board. _________________ "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." -William Blake |
